Probability-based model for network traffic

The basic network services such as HTTP, VoIP and electronic mail are discussed focusing mainly on HTTP and VoIP probability-based models for network traffic which are applied to the software simulation of real network.

Analogy and difference of ice skating and inline skating and their mutual use in teaching.

The diploma thesis deals with the correspondences and differences between inline skating and ice skating. In the theoretical part I introduce both types of skating. I describe the classification of these sports, basic equipment, safety, and the methodology of both skating types. In the theoretical part there is also a chapter on the suitability of skating in relation to the age of the child. In the practical part I verify a unified methodical series that I designed for both types of skating. The main aim of the thesis is to compare the practice of inline skating and ice skating techniques from the point of view of their correspondences and differences. The partial objectives are to find out whether it is possible to transfer the acquired skills from one type of skating to the other, to find out whether it is possible to design a unified methodology for the acceleration of mastering the basic requirements. Furthermore, to investigate the influence of ice skating and inline skating teaching methodologies on the level of skill when switching to the second skating technique. Reaction of selected potato varieties to single and split application of nitrogen

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the response of varieties with different lengths of vegetation to single and divided doses of nitrogen in potato growing. To point out the effect of nitrogen on tuber yield. The results of the experiment also consider the technology of cultivation, treatment and conditions during the vegetation. The work also records individual differences between varieties and starchy of tubers. The experiment was performed on a plot of land near Havlíčkův Brod near the experimental station in Valečov. Two variants of varieties with different vegetation times were selected for the experiment. The plot was divided into three variants of nitrogen application in three replicates. In the first variant, which was not fertilized with nitrogen, there was no high yield, but in the second variant, which was fertilized with nitrogen before and during vegetation, and in the third variant with fertilization before vegetation, the increase in yield was noticeable for selected varieties. At the same time, there were different values in determining the proportion of starch in tubers.

Difference of biomechanical parameters in individual categories in javelin throw

Title: Difference of biomechanical parameters in individual categories in javelin throw Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine whether the biomechanical parameters in javelin throw are different between age categories and gender categories. At the same time, this work deals with how much influence the individual parameters affect the throw distance and whether these ratios are the same or different for each category. Methods: During the research, kinematic analysis and video analysis using the Kinovea program were used. Statistical methods such as ANOVA, Tukey's post hoc analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were also used. Results: It was found that of the measured parameters, the value of 8 parameters differs between at least two categories. Only 2 parameters gave an insignificant result, so there are no different values between the categories. Furthermore, it was found that for 3 categories, the net distance has the greatest effect on the rate of estimation. The other selected parameters are only partially identical and there are some differences between the categories.. Meaning and Understanding in the Context of Thought of Jacques Derrida and Hans-Georg Gadamer The focus of the present study is mainly on the discussion of the process of understanding and emergence of meaning. Using the example of Gadamer's hermeneutics it becomes clear what are the limits of positive attempt to express conditions of understanding within the context of the philosophy of finitude. In spite of its undeniable benefits, hermeneutic understanding shows itself to be vulnerable towards ideology and it could be seen as suspected of hidden normativity thanks to its emphasis on agreement and coherency. Derrida's deconstruction on the other hand shows the dynamics of emergence of meaning in language, it emphasizes plurality and ambiguity in contrast towards totalizing unicity and agreement; however, due to this approach, it is unable to offer anything close to what we call the truth. In a parallel line of interpretation, philosophical- antropological approach of Ernst Cassirer standing in comparison with Heidegger's existential analytics of Dasein shows that already at the fundamental level in the process of establishment of terms and concepts and earlier our understanding is already determined to a certain extent. Lilliputians.Representations of the bodily "difference" in the Prague's freakshow culture 1820-1940

In the following essay, I focus on the representations of bodily "difference" in the Prague's freakshow culture, particulary on the displays of the so called "Lilliputians", which were popular among the public from the beginning of the 19th Century to the 40's of the 20th Century. Firstly, I introduce the Prague's curiosity exhibitions as a specific social praxis and I compare them with similar displays in Europe and the United States. In the second part of this essay, I try to analyse those exhibitions critically, using the concepts from the present disability studies discourse. I deal with the bodily "otherness" as a category of difference, which arises from the intersection of different ideologies. According to the point of view, this category shaped the individual and collective identities and fostered the social hierarchies of the time. Throughout the essay, I focus on the dis/continuities in the imagination of bodily "difference" and I try to describe the specificity of the Czech freakshow tradition. Becoming Heaviness: Philosophy of Difference and Metal Music

Metal music is a term that currently serves as a designation for a plethora of different subgenres. The main goal of this work is to find a process that is shared between given subgenres of metal music. The search is based on the non-essentialist position of Gilles Deleuze's philosophy of difference. For this reason, the first focus of the work is extensive excursion into this philosophy, to which it devotes it's first chapter. In it, through analysis of Difference and Repetition, it creates a thought and conceptual basis for the processual perception of ideas as multiplicities, a position that makes it possible to examine the process of becoming. From this position, the second chapter focuses on metal music and it's main characteristic quality - heaviness, and examines the ways in which music can become heavy. The World of Meaning of the Young Intelligentsia: Intimacy, Equality and Difference in Central Europe 1956-1968

The thesis deals with thought, mentality and conceptions of the higher education students. It focuses especially on discussions and controversies between students and party, state or universities authorities and aims at frictions which spread in official discourse and arose from student demands on more space for autonomous activity. Its main concern is the way in which these controversies were related to power transformations in the Central-European dictatorship since 1956. As an example of young intelligentsia, activists of youth and student organizations at higher education institutions in Warsaw, Prague and Bratislava have been chosen. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part researches on the conceptions of intimate, especially problems of youth sexuality, student marriage and living conditions of young families. The second part deals with the conceptions of equality in relation to centralized work-placement of graduates. The power authorities in the state-socialist society laid stress on social equality of all citizens, but paradoxically it produced strong inequality at a local level and undermined work, social and transnational mobility. The Concept of Woman: Philosophical Reflection

The topic of the diploma thesis is "The Concept of Woman: Philosophical Reflection." The purpose of this paper is to discuss the phenomenon of femininity and the position of woman not only in the world but in her own body as well. It examines the relationship between a woman and a man. Attention is focused on sameness and difference in self - concept and thinking of both genders. The primary aim is equality of rights and duties between both genders. The paper expands upon eight basic areas. The first chapter deals with woman and the mental and physical form of love. Furthermore, attention is paid to women and marriage, with attention focused on engagement, wedding ceremony and divorce. The chapter regarding women and family correlates to a high degree with the chapter about women and work, attention is focused on the traditional distribution of roles and on the distribution of work at home and outside of home. The chapter "Women and Feminism" maps the demands of that ideology. The chapter "Women for Women" points to the fact that women are not always supporting each other.
